Hello and welcome. Please introduce yourself to the Quirky community! 

I'm Shannon! I'm from North Wales and my handle is @ridiculusreads (as I'm ridiculous but a gothic girly so it had to be Latin). 

 

We need to know! What's your ideal reading setup?!

Big cosy blanket, candles and soft lighting and a big cup of coffee with an ASMR video on.

 

We know you love reading, but what hobbies do you have outside of inhaling books?!

Dreamlight Valley and smothering cats with love (and social media I guess)

 

Favourite book or series of all time? Yes, just one. Sorry not sorry. 

Once Upon A Broken Heart by Stephanie Garber.

 

Your favourite book trope and favourite book for that book trope?

Love Triangles (fight me) and fave book for that is Only A Monster by Vanessa Len

This might be a hard one BUT what is your most controversial book opinion!?

I'm a serial re-reader and I LOVE IT

What book character do you resonate with and why? 

Frankie from Chloe Liese's Always Only You - this was the book that made me realise I'm autistic. One of the only characters I've ever resonated with so deeply.  

Spill the tea: What is your favourite Quirky Cup item and why?! 

This is SO HARD! All of them is a cop out so if I have to choose it would be the pens! They're so smooth and I love that they have little affirmations on them - I need that!

Reading is a sacred pastime. What are your MUST have reading accessories?

Bookmark, headphones (audiobooks babyyyyy), glasses (I'm getting old)

I love them!! I have to admit, I have the Reading Journal and accessories already in other colours so I knew these would be products I could use and enjoy but as a gothic gal the black bundle speaks to my soul. I find it so helpful to keep me organised and I travel a lot so the book sleeve comes in so handy to keep my books and iPad and kindle and switch safe (cause they ALL FIT)!
