Beyond Packaging
FSC Paper for Journals – Responsibly sourced for guilt-free jotting.
Monthly Carbon Offset Donations – Giving back to the Earth, every month.
Recycling at Quirky HQ – Dedicated bins for paper, hard plastics, and cardboard.
Second Chances – We sell imperfect items at a discount to keep them out of landfills.. You can browse them here.
We know we’re not perfect, but we’re committed to doing better. Here’s where we’re still working on improvements:
Plastic Use: Some items still require protective plastic, but we encourage responsible recycling.
Soft Plastics: Australia lacks soft plastic recycling, but we limit use and ensure proper disposal. Know of a local recycling program? Let us know!
We’re always aiming to do better and welcome your ideas. Have questions or suggestions? Reach out to us – we’re always listening!

The Reality of a Small Biz
Sustainability takes time, investment, and growth. While we’d love to switch to tick every box possible, real talk? Some changes aren’t feasible just yet. Here’s why:
Cost & Scale: Sustainable materials often come with higher costs, and as a small biz, we have to balance that with staying accessible to our customers.
Limited Supplier Options: Many eco-friendly alternatives require large-scale production orders, which aren’t always possible for us right now.
Soft Plastics & Recycling Challenges: We wish there were better recycling systems in place, and we’re always searching for new ways to work within these limitations.
We’re not perfect, but we’re making thoughtful choices every day to do better. If you have ideas, suggestions, or know of innovative solutions, we’d love to hear from you!
