I got this to match the journal. It took me a minute to adjust to the gel ink (I use pencils primarily and I was holding the pen perpendicular and pressing too hard for proper ink flow) but now I have the hang of it, it writes like a dream. Very pretty. Will not be lending it out.

I really love the feel of this pen, but I’m struggling to get it to write smoothly. Every couple of words the ink pauses part way through letters. I use it to write in my reading journal but it takes ages to finish a review as I have to go back and redo so many words. When it does work it is beautiful, but when it doesn’t it makes things look very messy.
Store owner replied: Hey Emily! I'm sorry to hear you're having trouble with your pen :(. Believe it or not, sometimes it's the paper that isn't compatible with the gel ink! I have a troubleshooting guide that you can find in my product descriptions that should help you get it working or explain why you might be having trouble. I am so picky with my pens; I look for very specific things and this pen ticks all my boxes. It is smooth, comfortable, dries instantly if you need to highlight, it has a really nice weight, it is refillable and perfect sizing of point, also to top it off it is beautiful and everyone will wonder were you got it, will be buying other colors.
