USA Tariffs 🇺🇸
Update 13th May 2025
So far we have had no reports from customers of any tariffs being charged on our parcels by USPS, and it's been 10 days post de minimus removal. We don't know how long this will last but this is what we are currently noticing.
----
We’ve got a (temporary) reprieve!
The U.S. and China have hit pause on their trade war for the next 90 days, and the previously announced 145% tariff on Chinese-made goods has been reduced to 30%. It’s still not ideal, but hey! Compared to where we started, we’ll take it.
So, what does this mean for you?
💌 If you’re in the U.S. and placing an order with us:
-
Most of our products are made in China. So the Chinese tariff might apply. So far we have had no reports from customers of any tariffs being charged on our parcels by USPS. We don't know how long this will last but this is what we are currently noticing.
-
A 30% tariff may be applied by U.S. Customs, even if your order is under USD $800 and shipped from Australia.
-
You won't be charged at the door. Customs will send you a letter asking you to appoint a broker and pay any applicable duties or taxes.
-
If those fees aren’t paid in time, your parcel could be returned or abandoned. Please check out our Shipping Policy to understand what happens in that scenario.
Will your parcel be affected?
It’s still a little murky. Customs are reportedly screening by country of manufacture, not just where it ships from. So even small orders might be flagged, depending on how strict they’re being.
We don’t collect or profit from these fees. They’re government-issued and completely out of our hands. Please read our Shipping policy for rules on tariffs and duties.
TL;DR:
-
The 145% tariff is now 30% (for 90 days).
-
You might be charged duties, even under $800.
-
Sadly, we can’t control it. We’re just trying to keep you in the loop.
-
If you’re unsure, please check with your local customs office before ordering.
We know! It’s annoying, unpredictable, and no fun for anyone. But we’ll keep doing our best to stay transparent and update you if anything changes.
Thanks for riding the international shipping shit show rollercoaster with us.
We hope the tariffs lessen again soon 💔
