If you have any other ideas, share them 😍.

I have always loved flowers, there is no doubt about that. I grew up in the unique landscape of Central Australia, and even though its a notoriously arid environment, I was never short of being surrounded by beautiful, luscious gardens.

When I was a child I’d always notice the love and pride my Great Grandma, Nan and Mum would put into their gardens. I’d spend so much time playing outside in these gardens and smelling their flowers that the love for botanicals must have rubbed off on me too. I didn't really connect with this much until I started TQCC, and it was when my Great Grandma passed away that I started the craft of pressing flowers. Standing in her yard a day or two after she passed, just doing some tidying, I had this sudden idea to press some flowers to always remind me of her, and to preserve a small part of her flower-filled garden that she took so much pride in. I pressed them in the book I had travelling with me, and framed them as soon as they were ready. I still have them in my room til this day.

Ever since I started pressing flowers, I haven't been able to stop, and my love of pressing flowers grew into an obsession with learning about flowers and starting my own garden. I have shared this hobby of mine through my photography, instagram videos and the products I have on my website. It was forever ago now that I left a note in my phone to create a Flower Press so I could share this beautiful hobby with others, and here it finally is! A dream that has been years in the making, and something close to my heart that may become close to yours someday.

I hope the simple act of flower pressing brings you a piece of happiness, but that it also helps you connect with yourself and with the beautiful wonder that is Mother Nature.

Happy pressing!
